About This File
Originally an Ottomam building used as a resting place for merchants or travellers. Later it was used by the British colonial administration between 1878 - 1903 as a prison and a police headquarters. Since 2002 after restoration, the Buyuk Han is used as a centre for traditional Cypriot handicrafts. Definitely a "must see" during a visit into the north side of Nicosia, Cyprus.
