How to upload pictures and videos from your pc
Please be patient when uploading large files. You may open a new window and continue surfing the site or another site whilst your media uploads. Do NOT close the window containing your upload until the system tells you it has been uploaded successfully. |

Not a problem posting here...As your travelblog is set to friends only it is only accessible from your profile by your friends..I can see it there but it won't show on the main page or the travelblog listing page..
I understand regarding the photo upload and am looking into this and the multiple upload for you.
You can sends a PM to Alfiesaint who is validating pictures and videos but for site related stuff contact me.

a few points-
I don't know why you can't see my travelblog as it's set to friends (and you're listed as a friend). I hope there's nothing major wrong as I've spent ages writing it. I have managed to get photos in there now from 'my media'.
Just want to say I agree with Askcy about wanting to be able to choose the picture before writing a description on it. It makes much more sense. The way we have to do it now is to look through our pics first to see which one we want to post, then write up the description then open and upload the file. If we could upload the pic first (like in the old photo gallry) it would save time as we'd only be browsing our pictures once.
Is there a way we can upload more than one photo at a time as it's very time consuming when you've loads to do.
I realise there's somebody else taking over the admin but I'm not sure how to contact him.

I've tried to look at your Travelblog Shirley but can't access as I think you have set it to private. The best way would be to place copies of the images on here then you can just insert them into the Travelblog easily.

I've uploaded a few photos into the Turkey gallery and now I'd like to add some others to my blog. I'm hosting through image shack but I can only provide the link to my photos as I can't find any img tags when I'm in my blog.
Not sure if you know what I mean. I've got the link to pics posted in my blog but I'd like the actual picture rather than the link to show. how do I do this pease?

They should be done within 24 hours of upload maximum

How long does it take for pictures to show up? I uploaded some this afternoon but they aren't showing up yet.

Will sort those images for you shortly...Regarding your PS...
Look for the line that says... "Logged in as Cazmickntom (logout)"..Click "My Home" on that line...Scroll down and find "Upload/Change Photos" in the "My Account" box on the left under your "Messages" box...Click that and you will find the add album/upload photo...Follow the instructions to upload or create an album.
Personally I'd rather you didn't create albums at this time as the search system doesn't index the pics in albums although it should in the future...but that said, it's your choice.

PS. how do I make a photo album in my profile. There is a box there at the moment but when i click on it, it just says it's empty, doesn't say how to upload them.

I've uploaded it again. I can't see anymore of mine at the moment, think they were all of the rising star hotel in cyprus, but if I do I'll let you know.

I've sent you a pm about the reason for the pelican. If you upload the file again I'll delete the one already here. With regard to the multiple uploader question, I'll look into it. If there's anymore that belong to you let me know and we can do the same with them.

Can you include a multiple upload box. I have uploaded two photo's recently and it's taken ages. They arn't even showing up in my gallery.
Oh, and can you please add my pelican's in cyprus photo to my gallery, seeing as it was mine to start with. To say I'm a bit peeved is an understatement!!

I can't see there is much difference Askcy. You'd only need to find the vid/pic if you didn't know where it was stored. I can't see how uploading the video/pictures before the title would help you locate the file that you then need to point to.
That aside that isn't something I can alter at this time.

Can it be adjusted so you can select the file first and then decide what you want to title it and what description to add ? As it stands I have to navigate to the folder using "windows" explorer pick the picture/video on there, then come back to the site and put a title/description and then point the site to the same place.

Sorry for the delay in responding...
I would prefer, at this time, that all pics are uploaded via the upload link because they are indexed in the search which pics in the albums aren't...Yet...
This will be fixed in the next release...
Regarding missing countries etc...just drop me a pm and I'll add them so you can upload...

Just ion case there's anybody else here as dull as me- you have to select a particular country within the continent i.e no good just choosing Europe. If the country isn't listed in the drop down you need to request it.

I've managed to do that now according to your instructions. thanks. However, although the pic appears in my gallery under my profile and on the main home page at the top, under recent member photos, it's not displaying with the photo I uploaded yesterday which for some reason is in the section entitled media (again on the main home page).
Just think it's going to be confusing trying to find other peoples pics if they;re all over the place? What do you think?

I've found it's not possible to upload photos via this route.(clicking the Upload tab)
For photos you have to go...My home> Upload/Change photos (via the Account box.)
I'll post a screenshot in you know where.
another query Van - Although the pic I uploaded yesterday (camel in Morocco)is displaying on the main home page, when I click on picture gallery in my profile it's empty. How do I get the pic to display in my picture gallery please?
