Every 2 years the village of Dherynia (near Protaras / Pernera) celebrates its strawberry harvest with a great big get together, free strawberries and products, live music, dancing and lots of food the be purchased. Here is a sample of some Greek dancing on stage

Pernera in Cyprus is probably not one of the best known resorts on the East coast... but it is certainly one of the nicest. Nestling below a hill this pretty little town has plenty to offer and holiday makers return there year after year.

The Livas Hotel in Pernera (which is about a 25 minute walk from Protaras). A family run hotel which is well liked by many returning guests. Picture taken from main road outside the Barley Mow.

The Nautilus in Pernera is one of out favourite places to eat. Serving freshly made fine Italian dishes with a warm and friendly atmosphere. We've been going back for years now, so this was our last visit in Sept 2010
