Yialos Harbour seen from the windmills. Just outside Yialos, on a ridge, there is a row of old windmills. From here it is possible to walk to Pontikokastro (Mouse Castle).

I was given a tour of this new Hotel, by a friend who works there. Betalbatim Beach is the beach directly north of Colva, an approximate 15 minutes walk, and dominated by the Nanu Resort

One of our favourite walks down through the Pedi Valley. Pedi Bay, a 30 minute walk from Yialos, (also served by bus and taxis), retains much of its former identity as a fishing village.

Well worth the walk up to the Tree Point to see the view.

Took the train up to Kuranda then Skyrail over the rain forest down to sea level. Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal is located a short walk from the famous village of Kuranda where you’ll be able to enjoy the local attractions and shopping.

Maria's Taverna at Nimborio is a welcome sight after a walk over the top from Yialos. Nimborio was one of the oldest settlements on Symi in ancient times. It still retains a mysterious atmosphere very different to the bustling harbour and exuberant Chorio.
